Highlights of recent seasons include Highlights from the 80′s rock musical ‘Chess,’ ’Messiah’, by G.F. Handel, Gloria, by Vivaldi, the Durufle Requiem, the Pope Marcellus Mass by Palestrina, Magnificat by J.S. Bach and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. During the summer, Cantate presents the Pacific Summer Music Festival which hosts guest musicians such as the nation’s most beloved choral conductor, Dr. Weston Noble, concert pianists, Itay Goren and Frank Pavese and the Grammy-nominated string ensemble, Quartet San Francisco. All music are performed a cappella. The main areas of speciality are Orthodox church music (liturgical), folk and popular Ukrainian songs and some examples of original Ukrainian, world music as well as well-known a cappella classics. Since 1993, the award-winning "CBC" has staged more than 200 concerts at senior residences, homeless shelters, AIDS and cancer patient residences, and pediatric and rehab facilities. It was recorded on 5th December 2010 in the Harvey Nichols Espresso Bar in Leeds' magnificent Victoria Quarter in the first of St Peter's Singers' now-traditional Sunday evening carol performances there. The choir is directed by Dr Simon Lindley, its Music Director since the Singers' formation in June 1977.
