Concert Boost to Church Funds

  • A  large and appreciative audience attending a choral concert at St. Peters Church, Worfield on Friday night enjoyed an appealing variety of music. The evening programme included Mozart, Mendelssohn, Verdi and Puccini as well as numbers by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Elton John and Rodgers and Hammerstein including a rousing performance by Bridgnorth Choral Society's men of 'there is nothing like a dame' from South Pacific.

The entertainment was paused for an interval, when a fantastic supper was served and raffle prizes drawn.  The concert has been a huge boost to desperately needed church funds, raising over £600, which will go towards the church's upkeep and running costs.

Bridgnorth Choral Society maintain a busy schedule and are now focusing on their Christmas engagements. Their annual Christmas Concert will be held at Bridgnorth Baptist Church on Friday December 7th following which they will be setting the Christmas scene at Weston Park, entertaining diners with carols throughout the festive period and culminating in a truly special Christmas experience with a Carol Service at St Andrew's Church, Weston-under-Lizard.
