Come underground with Albion and experience the traditional music of Britain and Ireland in a stunning unique setting!

Guided by candlelight, the group’s ten singers lead you ever deeper into the mountainside, filling the spectacular caves with their beautiful, fresh sound. Favourite tunes such as Scarborough Fair, The Skye Boat Song, Danny Boy, and Jerusalem are brought inspiringly to life in this hour-long underground odyssey. It culminates, movingly, at the furthest reaches of the Devil’s Arse as the ancient Latin text ‘God be in my head’ is sung. Hosted warmly by the singers themselves, this will be a spell in another world, surrounded by the haunting harmonies of a choral group that has been hailed as “divine in every sense”.

Uniquely among choral groups, ALBION sings the musics of “these islands”– England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales – and further afield. The islands’ musical heritage stretches back a thousand years, offering a rich store of treasures: dances, folksongs, madrigals, plainsong chants, airs, anthems, and more. In their variety and beauty, they lie at the heart of Albion’s inspiration.

Drinks, which you can bring underground, will be on sale at the bar from 30 minutes before each concert. The temperature in the cave is 9 degrees, please dress warmly and wear suitable flat footwear.
