Now in its 6th year, Australia's most exciting singers festival for choirs and individual singers, is proud to present internationally renowned composer, arranger and jazz singer from USA, here for the first time in Australia, Kirby Shaw
along with choir-in-residence, multi-award winning The Australian Voices and Gordon Hamilton
Work with international conductors, composers and arrangers in some of Australia's finest venues.
FESTIVAL HIGHLIGHTS...
Fri June 5: WELCOME EVENT followed by a workshop with GORDON HAMILTON and THE AUSTRALIAN VOICES
Sat June 6 : CHOIR MASTER CLASS with Dr Shaw (featuring 4 - 5 choirs put through their paces) and
THE AUSTRALIAN VOICES in a world premiere concert performance on Saturday evening.
Fantastic WORKSHOPS throughout the Festival with guest presenters including Dr Kirby Shaw, Gordon Hamilton, Dr Kathleen McGuire, Dr Jonathon Welch AM.
Sing with the ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY massed choirs (men's, women's and mixed voices) directed by McGuire, Shaw, Welch and others!
Sunday June 7: CHOIR SHOWCASE featuring participating ensembles
Monday June 8: celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's 2015 milestone as the longest reigning British monarch, perform in the BEST of BRITISH Proms-style grand finale concert, including John Rutter's GLORIA accompanied by Footscray-Yarraville City Band.
